The Guyot (Gio), a brother to the Professor, embodies the essence of RMU; it was born and designed solely by member’s feedback. Telemark and AT skiers that had skied the Professor wanted something more specific to their needs. The Guyot’s core is lighter and set back two inches. For additional weight saving we trimmed the dampening as members that were designing the Guyot, were not skiing as much groomed terrain. The camber underfoot and rocker in the tip and tail makes for easy turns and confidence in mixed conditions. The Guyot is the backcountry skier’s weapon of choice. With an additional triaxial fiberglass and a beefed up mounting point under foot the Guyot delivers increased energy transfer compared to its brother.
